Research project Semizentral takes second place at the German Sustainability Award

In November 2015, the SEMIZENTRAL research project took second place in the German Sustainability Award. After SEMIZENTRAL had already received the GreenTec Award five months earlier, this is further proof of the project's success.

A high-ranking jury of experts selected SEMIZENTRAL from over 80 submitted projects. The "German Sustainability Award" is a national award for outstanding achievements in sustainability in business, municipalities and research. It is awarded annually by the German Sustainability Award Foundation in cooperation with the Federal Government, local umbrella organisations, business associations, civil society organisations and research institutions. With five competitions, a total of over 800 applicants and 2,000 guests at the closing event, the award is the largest of its kind in Europe.

Far Eastern Consulting has been supporting this German-Chinese concept for decentralized wastewater treatment in metropolitan regions since 2013. The first project of this kind is currently being implemented in Qingdao, China. The main sponsor of the project is the Technical University of Darmstadt.
